The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on and experienced Senior Director of Marketing to lead and execute our marketing strategy. The Sr. Director’s efforts will directly drive sales growth, increase brand awareness and encourage our clients to take full advantage of our tools. Reporting to the President and COO, the Senior Director of Marketing will craft and execute campaigns that showcase our platform’s value, foster collaboration across teams, and inspire a high-performing Marketing team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Align marketing strategies with organizational goals, optimizing tools and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and significantly increase inbound, sales qualified leads.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of two B2B marketing professionals. Foster their growth through professional development opportunities and by cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation and results.
- Demand Generation: Develop and scale integrated demand generation programs and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives. Guide and collaborate with the Growth Marketing Director to test campaigns, track ROI, and identify the best mix of digital advertising, SEO, webinars, events, and social media. Optimize our customer acquisition cost (CAC), while boosting the percentage of our marketing-influenced sales pipeline.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Sales, Product, and Client Success teams to align marketing efforts, share market insights, and support product marketing goals.
- Market Insight: Monitor emerging trends in the nonprofit sector and competitive landscape, helping Engaging Networks seize opportunities and respond to challenges in an agile way. Help us harness AI and advanced analytics to refine our marketing strategies.
- Partner Marketing: Collaborate with the Partnerships team to strengthen relationships with web development and technology firms that drive valuable referrals.
- Company Representation: Represent Engaging Networks successfully at industry events and our own Community Conferences in Washington, DC, London, and Toronto.
Qualifications
- Required:
- 5+ years of experience marketing SaaS products or services to nonprofit organizations.
- Proven success leading a Marketing team and driving measurable results.
- Deep understanding of marketing disciplines, including ABM, lead nurturing, and sales enablement.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ), with a collaborative and empathetic leadership style. Total integrity and honesty in dealing with clients, partners and co-workers.
- Strong strategic vision and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year.
- You are located in the Washington, DC area, or at least in the Eastern Time Zone. But this is a remote position. We encourage, but do not require, employees to work in our offices in Washington, DC and London.
- Preferred:
- Established network in the U.S. nonprofit sector.
- Experience with eCRM/digital engagement platforms.
- Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Mixmax.
- Strong data analysis and performance metrics expertise.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $145,000 to $165,000 annually, based on experience.
